3. Positions and requirements

SW Engineer

Technical requirement

      Computer science or relevant majors

      Python or perl or PHP competence are mandatory (one of those three is enough, the more the better)

      OO programming skill and experience is mandatory

      Good understanding about software engineering, especially unit testing

      Good C programming skill is a strong plus

Other requirement

      Fluent written English, good enough in follow English discussion

      Good teamwork

      Quick learner

Testing Engineer

      Responsible for the automation of both library and functional test script for WCDMA platform. Good hands-on experience in Python development and test automation architecture, as well as writing PyUnit (or equivalent) tests. Have experiences in working with various programming tools such as Tcl, Java.

      Expected to exercise great technical initiative, be highly focused towards meeting the needs of other automation developers, and to work closely with other members of the test team located locally and off-shore.

      Strong desire to learn new technologies and demonstrated ability to come up to speed quickly

       Ability to work well in a team environment.

      Able to use English as working language with good verbal and written communication skills.

Metrics Engineer

Mandatory:

      Major in SW development related. (CS, EE, etc.) or similar work       experience, mandatory

      Good at on webpage building using HTML, mandatory

      Good at Excel with macro/VBA programming experience, mandatory

      Good written and oral English, mandatory

      Active and responsible, mandatory

Optional:

      Programming experience of using PHP to build Web based application, better to have 

      Good at database structure, building, querying. MySQL and other database system experience required, better to have 

      Experience of programming in Linux/Unit environment, better to have programming experience of using some other languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, etc.), better to have

Laboratory Support Engineer

Responsible for daily laboratory support work or short term laboratory support projects

Background:

      Major in Electrical, Telecom, Marketing or Management (EE, CS, Marketing, Mgt etc)

      Experience on student management work (leaders in class or student unions)

Skills/Knowledge Preferred:

      Able to use English as working language with good oral and written communication skills (Must)

      Strong desire to learn new technologies and demonstrated ability to come up to speed quickly- Ability to work well in a team environment (Must)

      Solid knowledge in one or more of the following fields: Telecom, IP network (CCNA or CCNP is a plus), Power system, Project management, Quality management, Customer Relationship management (marketing), or other management concept (Must)

      Experience on web/database application

      Experience on electrical hardware repair
