Nokia Japan is looking for a high-caliber Image Processing engineer to strengthen the imaging software development team in Tokyo.

Key Tasks: 
- Software development in Image Processing and Image Recognition. 
- Applying advanced imaging and signal processing theory to improve the state-of-the-art image processing and imaging features.
- Current projects include raw image processing, face detection/recognition, and image stabilization. 
- Active collaboration with other researchers and developers, to commercialize imaging features for Nokia devices. 
- All phases of development cycle required. Research - Design - Implementation - Integration - Testing. 
Criteria and skills required: 
- PhD or Master degree with relevant experience in the industry. 
- In-depth knowledge of Signal Processing applied to imaging and camera processing. 
- Very good programming skills (C, C++). Typically above 3 years of experience. 
- Very good programming skills and experience with Matlab or other imaging related processing tools. 
- Good understanding of Computer Architecture, OS principles
- At least 3 years experience in software development on an embedded OS, experience in optimizing software will be a plus.
- Ability to pick up new knowledge quickly. 
- Good, independent analytical skills. 
- Flexible with work scope
- Good team player.
